Heirstead agents join as independent contractors (1099), not employees, and are compensated on commission. A state Life & Health insurance license is required before conducting insurance business — you may apply before completing licensing.

There is no guaranteed income. Actual earnings vary based on state licensing, activity level, sales skill, lead flow, carrier contracts, products sold, underwriting, placement, chargebacks, and policy persistency.
