What is verifiably true about Heirstead
Choose your path.
Whichever door fits you today, the training, mentorship, and carrier access are the same standard.
New to Insurance
- No prior insurance experience required
- Structured licensing guidance, start to finish
Already Licensed
- Carrier access without captive contracts
- Case design support for complex clients
How the system works.
Training, mentorship, carrier access, technology, case design, and support — one connected system, not six vendors.
Training & Mentorship
Product mastery and sales mastery — scripts, objection handling, and presentation skills built from what's worked in the field since 1973 — backed by weekly 1-on-1 mentorship and three generations of institutional knowledge on demand.
Carrier Access & Case Design
Access to 40+ life insurance and annuity carriers, including A- and A+ rated companies, so you're never forced into a product that doesn't fit your client. Carrier and product availability varies by state, appointment, and client need. For complex cases, we help you structure them with carrier illustration software and expert guidance.
Technology & Ongoing Support
CRM setup, multi-carrier quoting software, e-application portals, and policy tracking keep you organized — with direct access to Joshua for real answers, not a support ticket.
Where the legacy begins.
A family insurance career begins — the first of three generations who would go on to build it.

Charles Ernest Bailey
Charles built a 45-year career in the insurance industry, helping make Aflac a household name throughout Southeast Georgia — recognized in the Aflac Hall of Fame for the leadership, work ethic, and mentorship he brought to everyone who worked with him.

Honolulu, 1992. The President's Club — and a President.
At the 1992 Aflac President's Club in Honolulu, Charles was recognized alongside President Ronald Reagan — a moment that captures what a lifetime of helping families and developing agents can build.
“Don’t worry about the money. If you help others get where they want to go and succeed, you will find greatness in yourself.”
The legacy passes forward.

Kimberly Michelle Dyer
More than 25 years of top-producing success across multiple states — Fast Start, Fireball, and Triple Crown honors.

Robert Bailey
A decorated Navy veteran who built a respected 20-year Aflac career in recruiting, government agencies, and HR benefits.

Camilla Bailey Hughes
A 20-year career as a District Manager, carrying the family's field leadership into a new generation.

Joshua Patrick Dyer
For the last 10 years, Joshua has carried the family legacy forward — building Heirstead as an independent firm that brings together broad carrier access, structured training, and a genuine commitment to agent support.
Three generations.One standard.
An honest look at how this works.
Here is the structure of the opportunity, plainly, before you apply.
- Relationship
- You join as an independent contractor, not a Heirstead employee. You may build a book of business and may earn renewal commissions, subject to carrier contracts, vesting, persistency, and applicable agreements.
- Compensation
- Commission-based, not salaried. You are paid when a policy is placed in force, and again on renewals — not hourly, not guaranteed.
- Licensing
- A state Life & Health insurance license is required to conduct insurance business. You do not need to be licensed to apply — we guide licensed and not-yet-licensed candidates through what's next.
- What Heirstead Provides
- Training, mentorship, carrier access, and a business system — not guaranteed employment and not guaranteed income.
- What Remains Your Responsibility
- Your personal effort, activity, skill, and market conditions. This is a real, independent business you build — not a passive opportunity.
Actual earnings vary based on state licensing, activity level, sales skill, lead flow, carrier contracts, products sold, underwriting, placement, chargebacks, and policy persistency. No income is guaranteed.
